MyPermitNow is Live January 3rd

     We are pleased to announce our new MyPermitNow web-based permitting software is live.  As you are aware, we have been preparing for this day over the past six months and we are excited to be providing this software to all our users that will help to streamline our development process.  This system will allow contractors and developers the ability to login using a unique password and account ID.  You can also:

  • Submit digital plans and documents that will be reviewed, stored, and linked to the users secure account
  • Track the status of current projects including comments, mark-ups and other relevant information
  • Schedule Inspections and receive real-time notification of the results via email and phone message
  • Beginning February 1, 2011 you will also be able to apply and pay for permits online

Beginning January 3rd you can visit www.MyPermitNow.org in order to set up your new user account.  Click here for a step-by-step user guide that describes how to set up an account and attach your projects to that account.  The City is also holding our annual contractor training on January 5th and 6th and February 2nd and 3rd which will include time specifically for MyPermitNow training.  In addition, you may come into the permit center at any time to utilize the computer kiosk and get help in setting up an account and using the system.

October 1st, 2010 the following rules are effective:

In order to “pull” or obtain a building permit, the licensed contractor must personally appear and sign for any building permit;

or,

 Produce via hand delivered, facsimile, electronic mail or United States Mail, a Notarized, signed certificate bearing the licensed contractors signature - with the specific project address listed - for the permit to be released to a third party.
